Everything you need to connect your ad accounts, generate your first report, and get the most out of Unbrand — whether you're just evaluating it or already running client reports.
Getting Started
Unbrand is built around two things: clients (the businesses or brands you report on) and reports (the PDFs you generate for them, either from a connected ad account or from data you upload). Here's the fastest path to your first report.
- Create your account. Sign up with your agency name and email — the Free plan needs no credit card and includes 1 client and 1 report per month, enough to try the whole flow end to end.
- Add your first client. From the Clients page, create a client with their name and (optionally) their logo — this is what appears on the white-labeled report.
- Get data in. Either connect their Meta, Google or LinkedIn Ads account under Integrations, or upload a CSV/Excel export manually — see the sections below for both paths.
- Generate a report. Head to Reports, pick the client and date range, and generate. Unbrand automatically detects each campaign's objective (leads, sales, awareness, engagement, app installs, traffic) and only shows the metrics that matter for it.
Connecting Meta Ads
Connecting Meta (Facebook & Instagram) Ads lets Unbrand pull campaign performance automatically on your plan's sync schedule, instead of you exporting and uploading data by hand.
- Go to Integrations in the sidebar and select the client you're connecting an account for.
- Click Connect Meta Ads — you'll be sent to Facebook to log in and authorize Unbrand to read ad account data (we only ever request read access).
- If the Facebook login you use only has access to one ad account, it's connected automatically. If it has access to more than one (common for agencies managing several clients from one Business Manager login), you'll land on an account picker — choose the ad account that belongs to this specific client.
- You're redirected back to Integrations showing the connection as connected. The first sync usually runs within a few minutes.
Connecting Google Ads
- Go to Integrations, select the client, and click Connect Google Ads.
- Sign in with the Google account that manages the ads account, and grant offline (refresh token) access so Unbrand can keep syncing without you re-authorizing every time.
- If that login manages more than one Google Ads customer account (common with Manager/MCC accounts), you'll be shown a picker to choose the right one for this client. A single-account login connects automatically with no extra step.
Connecting LinkedIn Ads
- Go to Integrations, select the client, and click Connect LinkedIn Ads.
- Authorize Unbrand from your LinkedIn Campaign Manager login.
- Just like Meta and Google, if the login has access to multiple ad accounts you'll pick the correct one for this client; a single account connects immediately.
Manual CSV / Excel Upload
Don't want to grant API access, or reporting on a platform without a direct integration? Upload exported performance data instead — it goes through the exact same reporting engine as connected accounts.
- Export your campaign performance report from Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, or wherever your data lives, as a CSV or Excel file.
- Go to Upload Data, pick the client, and upload the file.
- Unbrand shows you a column-mapping preview — confirm which columns map to spend, clicks, impressions, conversions, etc. before importing, so nothing gets misread.
- Once confirmed, the data is available immediately for report generation, the same as a synced account.
Understanding Your Reports
Reports are designed to be handed straight to a client with no explaining required — here's how they're structured.
The headline result
Page one leads with the single number that matters most for that campaign's goal — leads generated, sales revenue, or reach — in large type, before any supporting detail.
Plain-language KPI cards
Spend, clicks, click rate, cost per click and similar figures are shown with a short plain-English description under each number (e.g. "cost per click" reads as "cost per one click"), no jargon assumed.
Month-over-month comparison
Every report compares the selected period against the equivalent previous period, so a client can see whether performance is trending up or down at a glance.
Only relevant metrics
Unbrand detects the campaign objective automatically and hides metrics that don't apply — a lead-gen campaign won't show ROAS, and a sales campaign won't show cost per lead.
Quick reference for the metrics you'll see most often:
| Term | In plain language |
|---|---|
| Impressions | How many times the ad was shown on screen. |
| Clicks | How many times someone clicked the ad. |
| CTR (click-through rate) | Out of everyone who saw the ad, the percentage who clicked it. |
| CPC (cost per click) | How much, on average, each click cost. |
| Reach | How many different people saw the ad at least once. |
| CPL (cost per lead) | How much it cost, on average, to get one lead. |
| ROAS (return on ad spend) | How much revenue came back for every rupee spent — e.g. 4.2x means ₹4.20 back per ₹1 spent. |
Managing Multiple Clients
Every plan has a client and monthly report limit (see Plans & Billing below). Within those limits:
- Each client has their own connected ad accounts, uploaded data, and report history — nothing is shared between clients.
- One Meta/Google/LinkedIn login can be used to connect accounts for several different clients, one connection at a time — the account picker (see the connection guides above) is what lets you point each client at their own correct ad account rather than accidentally reusing one.
- If you try to add a client past your plan's limit, you'll be prompted to upgrade — your existing clients and their data are never affected.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to connect my clients' ad accounts?
No — it's optional. For automatic, always-fresh reports, connecting the account is easiest. If you'd rather not grant API access, you can upload performance data manually as a CSV or Excel file at any time, and reports work identically either way.
What happens if my Meta/Google/LinkedIn login has access to several ad accounts?
You'll see an account picker right after authorizing — pick the one that belongs to the client you're connecting. This is what keeps one shared agency login from accidentally mixing up two clients' data.
Can I put my agency's branding on the reports?
Yes. Every report is white-labeled with your agency's logo — your clients see your brand, not Unbrand's.
What happens if I go over my plan's client or report limit?
You'll be prompted to upgrade before adding another client or generating another report that month. Nothing about your existing clients or past reports is affected.
How does Unbrand decide which metrics to show on a report?
Each campaign's objective — leads, sales, awareness, engagement, app installs, or traffic — is detected automatically from the ad account or uploaded data. Reports only show metrics relevant to that objective.
Can I cancel or change plans anytime?
Yes — upgrade, downgrade, or cancel from Settings → Subscription at any time.
